Amriswil, 18. June 2012 – In the new Fall/Winter 2012/2013 campaign of the Swiss brand PHILIPP PLEIN, iconic photographer Terry Richardson immortalizes actor Ed Westwick and French model Sabrina Nait in a sensual masterpiece of glamour and seduction.

Youth, vitality and luxury dominate Richardson’s five part series, dedicated to the upcoming PHILIPP PLEIN fall/winter 12/13 collection entitled “Unleash the Beast” and inspired not only by the wild animal kingdom, but also by the desire to liberate the inner beast, and the freedom to be yourself.  The designer, acting as creative director and stylist for the campaign, combined the beasts of the collection like python bags and heels, crocodile jackets and fur boots with the shatterproof spirit of authenticity, originality and being true to oneself.

Ed Westwick was chosen by the designer to represent the PHILIPP PLEIN world, the young generation that demands a new kind of luxury. A down to earth artist able to display real emotion, and tell a story through images.

The campaign couple, Westwick and Sabrina Nait, effortlessly portray the new generation of wild dreamers whose dreams become reality. In an absolute career first, Terry Richardson, as photographer but more importantly as an artist, reveals his own personal image alongside Westwick and Nait, both directly and through broken mirror reflections, in a genuine display of emotion towards the brand as well as dedication to his craft.

The designer Philipp Plein developed the campaign in close cooperation with Richardson, and realized the shooting in Milk Studio, New York City, a strategic choice that symbolizes the steady international expansion of the brand.

“Terry Richardson is a talented artist for me. He reflects the attitude of the brand as well, he is authentic and doing whatever he wants. He tells the truth, if something sucks it sucks, if something is great it’s great, period! Terry is pure Rock’ n’ Roll! It was very inspiring to work with him for the campaign and I am already looking forward to working with him again for the next campaign!”, states Philipp Plein.

The story will continue next season with Terry Richardson interpreting the PHILIPP PLEIN world through images that portray the highest level of traditional craftsmanship while breaking all rules with a new, fresh and daring luxury…Unleash the Beast
