PHILIPP PLEIN expands in Asia.
Following the opening of the first Asian showroom in Hong Kong, two new boutiques will open shortly in Seoul and Macao. Thanks to the overwhelming success of the Swiss Fashion House in the Asian market.
PHILIPP PLEIN focuses on Asia.
Following the opening of the new showroom in Hong Kong last April, the Swiss Maison of apparel and accessories for men, women and children has now pinpointed these new capitals of the oriental fashion business, Seoul and Macao, to inaugurate two new flagship stores, adding to the twelve existing boutiques located throughout the world.
At the end of September 2012, the new Seoul boutique will be inaugurated, the first in South Korea, with a surface area of 85 sq. m located at number 1F of Caruso Bldg., a strategic address for luxury shopping in the capital.
Macao will follow closely with a retail space of 80 sq. m at 1/F New Yaohan, Avenida Doutor Mario.
Both stores will adopt the new format being applied to all sales points of the PHILIPP PLEIN brand, conceived by the designer himself in collaboration with the Italian architectural and design firm AquiliAlberg. Interiors that are luxurious and emotional, dynamic and luminous, in perfect harmony with the sumptuous buildings and streets of their chosen locations. Interior design unites the pure minimal taste of the PHILIPP PLEIN Home Collection with the non-conformist and transgressive luxury of the fashion collections to produce a perfect expression of the PHILIPP PLEIN style: ultra-contemporary rule breaking luxury that never fails to amaze!
Luminous white walls, precious black marble flooring alternating unexpectedly with a herringbone parquet, all with a mirror-polished finish. Huge chandeliers in sparkling Murano glass. Maxi store windows and display cabinets in many various dimensions. All elements integrate with the different qualities and consistencies of materials, finishes, light and shade, to confer greater depth and movement to the space. Lacquer, chrome-plated metal, mirrors and ostrich skin create partition-like structures that surround the ever present maxi skull studded with CRISTALLIZED™- Swarovski Elements, displayed in a glass showcase, which constitutes an integral part of the concept used in all of the brand’s stores.
In Seoul, the originality of the PHILIPP PLEIN style is immediately apparent upon entering the store. Of strong impact, the large faceted portal decorating the entrance, a modern-day interpretation of the typical “ashlar”stonework found in Renaissance buildings.
