PHILIPP PLEIN opens his first flagship store in Amsterdam, in the exclusive location of of Hooftstraat.

The new boutique, which covers a total of 85 m2, reflects PHILIPP PLEIN style in every detail. The dynamic and luminous space was designed by the architectural  firm  AquiliAlberg, and has one maxi shop window overlooking Hoofstraat,  the Rodeo Drive of Amsterdam, a small street famous for the high concentration of luxury brands and boutiques.  

The  interior  design  combines  the  pure  and  minimalist  aesthetics  of  the  PHILIPP  PLEIN  Home  Collection  with  the unconventional and alternative luxury of the collections created by the Swiss fashion house. As in all PHILIPP PLEIN stores, only the very best materials have been used. White is the dominant color, creating a sophisticated contrast with the marble and  herringbone floors.

The storage and display elements alternate lacquered finishes with chrome-plated metal and ostrich leather, creating an attractive flow of solids and voids, and providing a setting for the unmistakable skull studded with CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements enclosed in a glass showcase, an integral element  of  the store concept. Design and attention to detail, elegance and a rock spirit are  common themes of the PHILIPP PLEIN style, which is always high impact and original, alternative and  extremely contemporary.

These characteristics can be found in every expression of the designer’s unlimited creativity. “Amsterdam is the second European capital, after Milan earlier this year, where we have opened a store, ”explains  Philipp Plein.  

“The European capitals are the most difficult to enter for a variety of reasons, and the investment is especially  important for a growing company such as PHILIPP PLEIN.  

I plan to open in Paris and London soon, but in order to maintain our  standard of luxury we must wait until we can attain the best location that each city offers. The  rare opportunity arose  to open on Amsterdam’s  most important high end shopping street , and we couldn’t pass it up.” In addition to Amsterdam,  PHILIPP PLEIN  mono-brand stores can be found  in Monte Carlo, Vienna, Moscow, Kitzbühel, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Forte dei Marmi, Düsseldorf, Marbella, Baku, St. Petersburg,  Milan, Seoul, Dubai  and Macao.  Coming soon, the grand opening of PHILIPP PLEIN in Berlin.
